A little reminder that our June meeting is this Friday at The Equity Centre in Bradford – 18:00-21:00.
It is a Meet & Greet night, so no fixed agenda this month. If you’ve not been before or for a while come along and meet/catch up with some of our newer members! I know I’d like to see you all!!
S.P.I.C.E is a family positive group & because the evening doesn’t have a specific topic, the evening is completely child friendly! So don’t worry about childcare etc, bring your kids along if you wish!
There will be drinks & snacks as usual, but feel free to bring something yummy along with you if you feel so inclined! – don’t worry this is completely optional – there will be no shake down for food at the door!!!!
Conversation, music, games and more all on offer!!
See you Friday people!!!
(Get in touch if you need further details, directions etc)
Leeds based charity, No Going Back, is holding its first auction to raise much needed funds.
The auction and art exhibition will be held at the White Cloth Gallery, Leeds at 7pm on 15th December 2014. The event ‘1 Model 100 Artists’ will give attendees the opportunity to purchase a piece of unique art supplied by local artists, as well as register interest in purchasing a monograph book containing all 100 portraits. 100% of the profits will be given to No Going Back.
This national organisation is staffed purely by volunteers and pro bono support. It provides FREE specialist legal representation to LGBT people who have fled their country because they have suffered persecution for loving someone of the same sex. No Going Back is the only organisation in the UK who offers this service. The organisation also puts on awareness-raising events and training regarding LGBT asylum.

Come along and join us for a tasty but wallet friendly christmas meal out in the beautiful Forsters Bistro. The christmas menu looks exciting but if you prefer to hold out for your christmas dinner (which if you can, you could well be my new hero!), they still have the equally tasty non festive menu too!
Friday night is also live music night so we will be treated to some (hopefully) good music to entertain us!
Please RSVP to let me know if you can/can’t make it by Monday 14th December as I will need to book a table.
Tomorrow evening 18:00 – 21:00 is S.P.I.C.E’s monthly meeting ‘Meet & Greet @ The Equity Centre.’
Is anyone interested in coming??? If so, please drop me a quick RSVP so I know who to expect!
Looking forward to seeing some/all of you soon x
17th – 21st November is Anti-Bullying Week, an annual campaign which aims to raise awareness of the bullying of children and young people.
We need you to take action this Anti-Bullying Week and help us end bullying once and for all. How often do you hear unkind commends about someone’s age, distability or sexuality? We know that all too often this kind of behaviour goes unchallenged and can have a serious impact on people.
- 75,000 young people will be bullied this year because they are gay.
- 21,000 will attempt suicide.
Finally, the eagerly awaited S.P.I.C.E website has arrived!
News, reviews, event details and general updates can be found here.
(I hope you like – but remember, the site is still a work in progress!)
